Vikings Stay Perfect In TRC
WABASH – The Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball team took another step towards a conference title Friday night.
A fast start paved the way as the Vikings whipped host Wabash 56-35 in Three Rivers Conference action.
Valley bolted to a 17-4 lead after the opening period and never looked back en route to the decisive league win.
The Vikings won their sixth straight game since a loss to NorthWood to improve to 10-2 overall. Coach Bill Patrick’s team sits atop the TRC standings with a 5-0 mark in league play.
The duo of Tanner Andrews and Chainey Zolman each scored 12 points to lead a balanced offense for the Vikings in the win.
Robby Groom netted 11 points and Logan Britton had eight for Valley. Ben Shriver added six for the winners.
Valley will wrap up TRC play by hosting North Miami on Feb. 13 and then playing at Southwood Feb. 15.
The Vikings get right back in action as they play host to John Glenn Feb. 8.
