Valley Ladies Win Again
AKRON – There’s no doubt that the Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team will go into sectional action on a high note.
The Vikings closed out regular-season action in style Thursday night with a 58-39 win over Culver Academies.
Valley ended the regular season on a five-game winning streak to finish at 12-6. The Vikings were also 5-2 in Three Rivers Conference action, good for at least a share of second place behind league champion Wabash (7-0).
Senior Cara Hoffman made her final game at home one to remember for the Vikings. The standout guard led the way Thursday night with 16 points and three steals.
Valley led just 13-9 after the first period of play before outscoring CGA 20-6 in the second stanza to take control.
Freshman Anne Secrest had 10 points to go with six rebounds. Meredith Brouyette added nine points for the Vikings.
Valley will face Fairfield on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. in the Class 3-A NorthWood Sectional.
