Trojans Dump Dragons
BOURBON – A quick start and a fine finish carried Triton past Argos Tuesday night in a non-conference boys basketball contest.
The Trojans raced to an early lead and never were challenged in slaying the Dragons by a 69-39 final in a varsity only game.
Triton led 19-9 after the first period of play and stretched its lead to 32-16 at halftime. The Trojans closed the contest with a flourish by outscoring Argos 19-7 in the final quarter.
Skyler Reichert led the way for Triton with 19 points. He connected on 5-12 from 3-point range as the Trojans hit 10-25 as a team from deep range.
Tanner Shepherd netted 17 points and Joey Corder had 12 points and eight rebounds for the Trojans.
Triton shot a fine 23-46 from the field in winning its fourth straight game.
Dominic Cataldo paced Argos with 15 points.
Triton (8-5) hosts Mishawaka Marian Thursday. Argos (8-5) hosts Caston Friday night.
