John M. Leek
John M. Leek, 81, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 6 a.m. Friday Jan. 31, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Feb. 22, 1932 in East Point, Ky., to Samuel and Martha (Moles) Leek
He was a lifetime resident of Warsaw, In. He was employed by Leek’s Shell Service of Warsaw where he was Co-Owner. In addition, he was employed by the Dalton Gang of Warsaw as an Application Driver, Nelson Brothers Mobile Home Service and Chapman Lake Marina. He was a Volunteer Firefighter for the Warsaw Fire Department, A member of American Legion Post #49, V.F.W. Post #1126 and Elks Lodge, BPOE #802. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1955.
He is survived by his sons: John M. (Tammy) Leek, Jr., Warsaw; Joe M. Leek, Warsaw; Jack (Teresa) Leek, Warsaw; and Jeff (Trudy) Leek of Warsaw; a brother: Bob (Eileen) Leek, Warsaw; sisters: Ethel Schuch, Elkhart, Ind.; Vivian ( Jerry) Kelly, Warsaw; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by five brothers: Sam Leek, Elmer Leek, Merl Leek, Francis ‘Mouse’ Leek and Glen ‘Jug’ Leek; and a sister: Ellen Nichols.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. No calling is planned. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
