AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School boys basketball teams collected a pair of wins Thursday night over North Miami.

Jake Gearhart and Wes Melanson each had 15 points as the Valley 7th grade team topped North Miami 58-23.

Alex Morrison netted eight points and Cameron Parker six for Valley, which improved to 9-3 with the win.

Damen Conley led the winners with eight rebounds. Melanson and Morrison each had seven rebounds and Colton McCane five.

Liam Leininger netted 13 points as the Valley 8th grade team beat North Miami 30-22.

Bryce Webster and Drew Hartman each had five points for the winners. Wes Johnston scored four points and Seth Hoffman added three for Valley in the victory.
