Mentone Man Killed In Work Accident

david-seitner-obituaryKosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies and emergency personnel were dispatched to the Cargill Nutrena Feed, 106 N. Etna St. ,Mentone, on Friday at approximately 5 p.m. in reference to a 9-1-1 call of an injured male.

Emergency responders arrived and located the male victim, David M. Seitner, 42, of Mentone, suffering from a severe injury to his face. Seitner was rushed to Kosciusko Community Hospital but succumbed to his injuries, according to Kosciusko County Coroner Michael Wilson.

The Initial investigation determined Seitner was working on a truck owned by RVH Trucking when a shroud or covering over a portion of the air compressor system of the truck became dislodged and exploded in his face.

The KCSD was assisted at the scene by the Mentone Police Department, Mentone EMS, Mentone Fire Department and Multi-Township EMS.
