Roads Slick After Persistent Snow
We’re receiving reports of slide-offs all around Kosciusko County. It seems after steady snowfall since early afternoon, the roads are becoming rather treacherous.
Several of our readers reported that US 30 is slick, and there was a wreck west of Columbia City. Chatter on the police scanner indicates there were slide-offs on Old Road 30 near 100 North and on SR 13 in Syracuse.
We’ve also received a report that power is out at 900 North and 250 West due to a slide-off.
If possible, try to avoid driving until utility workers have had a chance to service the roads. Plows and salt trucks are currently out. For those, who need to drive, we urge you to use caution and drive cautiously.
