Haines Running For Superior II Judge
Tyler S. Haines has announced his candidacy for Judge of Kosciusko County Superior Court II in the May Republican Primary.
Haines, 52, is a native of Kosciusko County and has practiced law out of his Leesburg office since 1992. He is also a registered architect.
For the past 21 years, Haines has engaged in the general practice of law, including criminal, real estate, business law, wills and trusts and bankruptcy.
The son of the late Stacy Haines and Colleen Haines, he has also been a familiar member of the family business, Stacy’s Restaurant, in Leesburg. Prior to opening his Leesburg law practice, Haines was an architect in Indianapolis and he also interned and volunteered with the Marion County Public Defender’s Office.
Haines feels the time is right to make the move to public service and believes his ability to multitask will be a strong plus in the local court system. He is a strong believer in the Constitution and Rule of Law. He believes that the fairness of justice applies evenhandedly to all citizens, and would continue the current professionalism of Superior Court II.
Haines is a 1980 Graduate of Wawasee High School. He received a Bachelor of Architecture and a Minor in Business from Ball State University in 1986. In 1991, Haines graduated from the Indiana School of Law-Indianapolis. He is admitted to practice in Indiana, including both Northern and Southern Federal Districts.
Haines has three children currently enrolled, or graduated, from the Warsaw Community Schools: Ashley, Hunter and Madison. He has enjoyed volunteering with the Junior Achievement Program at the local schools. Haines has served in the election process for the past 25 years, in positions of poll worker, precinct committeeman, state delegate, and as a treasurer for a congressional candidate.
Haines is a member of the state and county BAR Associations. He is a former president of the Wawasee Area Jaycees and former member of the Warsaw Noon Kiwanis.He is also a member of the Warsaw Shrine Club, Warsaw Rifle and Pistol Club, and National Rifle Association. He attends Leesburg United Methodist Church and North Webster United Methodist Church.
