Martha Tucker
Martha Tucker, 86, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Mason’s Health & Rehabilitation, Warsaw.
She was born on Dec. 22, 1927, in Silver Lake, Ind., to Donald and Edna (Tschantz) Thacker. She was a 1945 graduate of Silver Lake High School.
Martha lived most of her life in Warsaw and was operations manager for Lake City Bank for 38 years. She attended Warsaw Community Church, Warsaw and was a member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge and the Salvation Army Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters: Nancy Kriner and Jackie Bettinger, both of Warsaw; two sons: Rick Bettinger, Warsaw; and Donald (Marla) Bettinger, Taiwan; brother: Max Thacker, Fort Wayne, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Verle Bettiner, who passed away on Jan. 12, 1993; her second husband: John T. Knowles; her third husband: H. Dale Tucker; a son: Roger Bettinger, who passed away on April 21, 2013; a step-son: Michael Knowles: and step-daughter: Patricia Seiffert.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the funeral home with Pastor EJ Underwood of Warsaw Community Church officiating. Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, Ind.
