Several universities in the state have received high marks from a national publication for online programs. In the annual rankings from U.S. News and World Report, Indiana University Bloomington placed first among the “Best Online Business Graduate Programs” and IPFW was eighth in the category of “Best Online Bachelor’s Programs.”

The publication considered factors including student engagement, faculty training and peer reputation. Nearly 1,000 schools were evaluated.

Universities in Indiana that were rated in the top 25 of their respective categories include: IPFW, which placed eighth for best online bachelor’s programs; Indiana University Bloomington, which placed first for best online graduate business program and second for best online graduate education program; Ball State University, which placed 17th for best online graduate business program, 11th for best online graduate education program and 19th for best online nursing program; and Purdue, which placed sixth for best online graduate engineering program.
