Harold L. Campbell
Harold L. Campbell, 84, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 9:37 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.
He was born on Oct. 5, 1929, in Albion, Ind., to George and Erma (Rowe) Campbell. He graduated in 1947 from North Webster High School and lived most of his life in the Noble and Kosciusko counties area having lived in Ligonier, Wilmot, Valparaiso and Warsaw.
He was married Dec. 6, 1947, to Mary Jane Miller who preceded him in death and then on June 17, 1999, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Mary B. (Shepler) Hochstetler who survives.
He was the former owner / operator of Campbell’s Farm Equipment and Campbell’s Appliance in Ligonier, Ind. He formerly worked as a job superintendent at Foy Construction in Kansas City, Mo., building commercial buildings, and pulled RV’s for Travel Supreme in Wakarusa and Newmar in Nappanee for 20+ years.
He was a member of the Salem Community Missionary Church in Wilmot.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Campbell, Warsaw; three daughters: Connie (Glenn) Troyer, Goshen, Ind.; Janet (Scott) Norris, Syracuse, Ind.; and Sherry (Gary) Clemons, Ligonier; four grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two step daughters: Lisa (Terry) Bratton and Rena Bratton, both of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two step songs: Gerald (Linda) Hochstetler, Warsaw; and Ronald (Karin) Hochstetler, Germany; two sisters: Phyllis Burnworth, Kimmel, Ind.; and Shirley Hale, Michigan; three brothers: Fred (Ruby) Campbell, Ligonier, Ind.; Jim (Dorothy) Campbell, Texas; and George (Jane) Campbell, Goshen, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife: Jane Campbell; a brother: Bill Campbell.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500 North, North Webster, Ind. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with grandson, Pastor Jay Troyer, of The Gathering in Goshen and Jack Stump officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery at Wilmot, Ind.
