Ruth M. Rose
Ruth M. Rose, 72, of Syracuse, Ind., passed away at 9:35 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
She was born on June 6, 1941, in Elkhart, Ind., to Edward and Eva L. (Kiser) Lock. She graduated in 1961 from Elkhart High School and moved from Elkhart to the North Webster/Syracuse area in 1968.
She worked as a machine operator at GTI in Leesburg, Ind., and retired after 20 years. She was a member of the North Webster Church of the Brethren and the American Legion Post 253 Auxiliary in North Webster.
She is survived by two sons: Brent Rose, North Webster, Ind.; Brian Rose, Syracuse; two daughters: Ronda Sandoval, Syracuse; Robin (Jeff) Davis, Fort Wayne, Ind.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother: Sherman ‘Butch’ Lock; three sisters: Harriet Franklin, Joanne Richards and Pearl Hogue; and grandchild: Jimmy Rensberger.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Cox of Wawasee Lakeside Chapel officiating. Burial will follow in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
