Dennis Ray Hoskins
Dennis Ray Hoskins, 71, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 7:08 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home of Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born on March 3, 1942, in Norwood, Ohio, to the late Lige C. Hoskins and Margaret (Kidd) Hesse. On Nov. 28, 1964, he was married to Clara (Cornelius) Hoskins. She survives.
He had been resident of Warsaw since 1981. He attended Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Ind. He was enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1987 as an Air Traffic Controller. After retiring in 1987 he worked for Zimmer, Inc. of Warsaw for 5 years; as well as working for Warsaw Community School Corporation as a bus driver for 5 years. For several months he was in the mission field in the Philippines, and then he served in Pensacola, Fla. with Mt. Zion Ministries. Dennis was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Bremen, Ind.
He is survived by his wife; his two daughters: Tracy (Ron) Reynolds, Warsaw; Kim (son Darrius) Wright, Cincinnati, Ohio; and nine grandchildren: Natalie, Austin, Jacob, Sam, Josiah, Kendra, Isaac, Jalen and Micah.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother; step-father: Rudy Hesse; and his sister: Phyllis Miller.
His visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Rd., Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at the funeral home and will be officiated by Pastor Jon Hueni. A military graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Ind.
