North Webster Public Library Events
The following events will be occurring at the North Webster Public Library throughout the month of January.
- Jan. 1 – The library is closed.
- 10 a.m. Jan. 2 – Make & Take Card Class.
Learn to make original greeting cards. Registration cost is $7. - 4:30 p.m. Jan. 2 – Teens Only Movie
The library will be showing a fantasy adventure about a teenager who discovers he is a demi-god, the son of a mortal woman and the mythical Greek god Poseidon, and goes on a quest to prevent war among the gods. Free popcorn will be provided. The movie is rated PG and is a total of 118 min. The showing is for grades 6-12. - 5 p.m. Jan. 3 Annual Holiday Stuffed Animal Sleepover
Children bring their stuffed animals or dolls to the library for Evening Story Time and then leave their toys overnight at the library. The kids return between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Jan. 4, to pick up their toy buddies and watch a slide show of the toys’ overnight adventures. Free donuts and juice will be served.

Weekly Weight Loss Support Program that provides encouragement, education and accountability to help you achieve your weight loss goals. This Monday – Weigh-In & Walk) - 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Jan. 7 – Story Time at North Webster Day Care

This group of experienced genealogists meets weekly to collaborate on genealogy projects. New members welcome. - 5:30 p.m. Jan. 13 – Lose It @ The Library
- 9 a.m. Jan. 14 – Story Time at North Webster Elementary School Functional Skills Class
- 9:30 a.m. Jan. 14 – Story Time at Head Start
- 10 a.m. Jan. 15 – Glean Team
- 4:30 p.m. Jan. 16 – Teen Time
For grades 6-12. Friendship bracelet workshop will be held. Supplies will be provided. - 10 a.m. Jan. 20 – Writer’s Corner
A group of writers will meet to share ideas, techniques and encouragement. This month’s writing assignment – an essay about your favorite childhood TV show. - 5:30 p.m. Jan. 20 – READ Book Club
The club will discuss The Yellow House by Patricia Falvey. - 5:30 p.m. Jan. 20 – Lose It @ The Library

Learn desktop publishing using Microsoft Publisher and how to create newsletters, business cards, flyers, brochures and more. Advance registration required. Class size is limited, so sign up early at the front desk. - Jan. 22 – Preschool Story Time registration begins
Registration begins for the next 10-week Preschool Story Time which runs from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Wednesday Feb. 5 through April 9. For ages 3-5. - 10 a.m. Jan. 22 – Friends of the Library Meeting

- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan 25 – Adult Jigsaw Puzzle Fest
We’ll be working on jigsaw puzzles throughout the day. Work alone or with others. Stay for an hour or the entire time. Bring snacks to share. The library supplies puzzles, coffee and water. - 10 a.m. Jan. 27 – Voyager Book Club
Everyone reads a book of their choice within an assigned genre. This month we’ll be reading and discussing mystery books. - 5:30 p.m. Jan. 27 – Lose It @ The Library
This Monday will include a Weigh-in and informative Program. - 6 p.m. Jan. 28 – Revolving Recipe Round-Up
Bring a dish made from an old family recipe along with its recipe. Library provides table service along with coffee and water. - 10 a.m. Jan. 29 – Crown Hill Cemetery Virtual Tour
A video and slide presentation takes you on a virtual tour of Indianapolis’ historic Crown Hill Cemetery, the third largest non-governmental cemetery in the U.S. - 5 p.m. Jan. 30 – Family Movie Time
Showing will be an animated Disney movie about a crop dusting plane with a fear of heights who lives his dream of competing in a famous round-the-world aerial race. The movie is Rated PG and is 91 min long. Free popcorn will be provided.
