Weight Management Class Begins Jan. 14
Indiana University Health Goshen will offer a 12-week weight management program geared toward helping people incorporate healthier habits into their daily lives. The “Healthy Steps to a Healthy Weight” program is administered by trained health professionals, including dietitians, registered nurses, certified personal trainers and lifestyle counselors.
The program – which aims to help participants lose between 1 and 2 pounds per week – emphasizes the behaviors necessary to maintain a healthy weight in an environment of abundant fast food and limited physical activity. Participants will exercise and weigh in at each session, and will learn skills such as meal planning, coping with binge eating, managing stress, appetite awareness and personal fitness goal setting.
Throughout the duration of the program, participants also receive unlimited access to IU Health Goshen’s Livewell Fitness Center.
The program begins Jan. 14 and meets for 12 consecutive Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at IU Health Goshen Hospital, 200 High Park Ave., Goshen. The fee is $150 and includes all materials. Space is limited. To register, or for more information, please call 574-364-2855 or email [email protected].
