The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the shooting incident that occurred at a residence located south of North Webster on B10 Lane. Sgt. Chad Hill of the KCSD confirmed to StaceyPageOnline.com at 10:27 p.m. that one male subject has died from what appears to be multiple gunshot wounds. A second male victim was also shot, but suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment.
The Kosciusko County Major Crime Scene Investigation Unit has been summoned to the address that is located on the Barbee Lake Chain.
A medical helicopter was dispatched to fly one person from a landing zone established at North Webster Elementary School, but that helicopter was disregarded shortly thereafter.
Police have established two locations and are focusing on a small truck that is parked outside the bait and tackle store.
Sgt. Hill added that police were initially sent to the residence after receiving a 911 call. A female suspect exited the house as officers arrived and surrendered. She is currently at the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department being questioned by detectives, but has not yet been formally charged with any crime.
KCSD expects to provide additional information on Thursday.
