Stabbing Victim Arrested For Domestic Battery
A domestic battery led to a stabbing Tuesday morning, and the man who was stabbed has been charged.
At approximately 9:20 a.m., a 911 call led Indiana State Police and Fulton County Sheriff’s Department officers to a stabbing at 796 S. Fulton County Rd. 300W in rural Rochester.
A preliminary investigation by ISP Detective Brent Ingram and the FCSD revealed an alleged physical altercation between Nicholas Ponto, 30, of Rochester, and his adult girlfriend had occurred. During the altercation, the female, who allegedly suffered injuries, purportedly stabbed Ponto with a knife in his left shoulder.
Ponto was transported to Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester where he was treated and released. He was then arrested by officers from FCSD on charges of domestic battery.
