Louise Ellen Miller
Louise Ellen Miller, 64, of 24314 CR 46, Nappanee, Ind., passed away unexpectedly at 7:20 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, at IU Health, Goshen Emergency Room of natural causes.
She was born July 31, 1949, in Elkhart, Ind., to the late Edward H. and Sylvia Leona (Yoder) Hochstetler. Louise married Ezra L. Miller on Oct. 12, 1967, in Nappanee at her family home.
Mrs. Miller has lived her lifetime in this area. She was a homemaker and worked part time at Miller’s Merry Manor in Wakarusa, Ind. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by her husband; daughters: Lorrina Pearl (Joseph) Whetstone, Rome City, Ind.; Lorretta Linn (David) Johnson, Nappanee; Margaret Lynae (Joshua) Menzie, Nappanee; Kathryn Elaine( Cornellius) Castello, Nappanee; Shirley Ann Null, Nappanee; Delilah Fern (Samuel) Barehona, Nappanee; and Cynthia Louise Miller, Nappanee, Rossetta Marie (Brian) Yoder, Winsconsin; sons: Ezra Leroy (Christine Buyers) Miller, Leesburg, Ind.; Herbert Eugene Miller, Syracuse, Ind.; Keneth Lamar (Pamala Gregorouch) Miller, Walkerton, Ind.; 35 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters: Wilma Irene (R.E.) Borkholder, Nappanee; Frances Elaine (Merlin ‘Black’) Schwartz, Etna Green, Ind.; Dawn Marie (Earl) Miller, New Paris, Ind.; Teresa Fern (Brian) Emmons, Goshen, Ind.; brothers: Duwayne Hochstetler, Alan Lee (Sharon) Hochstetler, Phil Robin (Kathryn) Hochstetler and Warren Scott (Rachel) Hochstetler, all of Nappanee; Larry (Mary Alice) Hochstetler, Shipshewana, Ind.; Dennis Eugene (Renee) Hochstetler, Florida,; and Lavon Dean Hochstetler, Bourbon, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter: LaVerda J. Whetstone; son-in-law: J. D. Null; and brother: Norman Ray Hochstetler.
Visitation will take place at 5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 16, and all day Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the family residence. Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the Mark Miller Residence, located at 23530 CR 52. Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate and burial will be in Union Center West Cemetery. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
