In honor of the holiday season and the company’s seventh anniversary, Rainmaker Polymers of Warsaw is giving the gift of giving to it’s customers.
The company, which is based out of Chapman Lake in Warsaw, has set aside a total of $7,000, a thousand dollars per year of operation, to be given to it’s customer’s favorite charities and ministries.
According to Rainmaker Polymers Co-Founder John Urschalitz, this is the third time that the company has done the “Rainmaker Gives Back Program.” The concept was derived from the desire to thank customers of the company in a tangible and meaningful way.
“Rainmaker Gives Back was an idea that we came up with on our fifth anniversary. We wanted to thank our customers in a tangible way and in a way that would honor them and would not compromise their integrity. We came up with the idea that we would contribute $5,000 to a fund on our fifth anniversary that they could tap into. They could give us the name of an organization or a ministry that they wanted us to contribute $100 to in their name. There is no matching contribution required. It is a way for us to, with integrity, thank our customers for helping us grow.”
According to Urschalitz, customers are able to donate every 30 days to either the same or a different charity until the fund runs out. To date, the company has provided funding to numerous organizations and ministries including the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club, the Salvation Army, Pregnancy Resource Center, American Cancer Society-Kristi Grothman, the Boys and Girls Club of America and many more.
Though Urschalitz noted that there is much gained by the Christian-based company in giving back through it’s customers, he also noted that the program has had added benefits in generating positive “PR.”
“This is a way for us to do good and a way for us to create some positive PR. The idea seems to be getting some traction as other people have noted they like the idea and might like to use the idea in their business as well. If someone out there likes the idea and wants to use it, by all means, we don’t have any patent on it and we hope that you do,” stated Urschalitz with a smile.
Please note the Rainmaker Gives Back program is available to customers and business associates of Rainmaker Polymers by invitation only and is not open to the public.
