Central Park Lighting Up The Night
The Central Park holiday light display will kick off Friday, Dec. 6, with the annual Light Up The Night event hosted by Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department. The free event will take place from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Warsaw’s Central Park.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride in the First Friday Twinkle Parade beginning at 7 p.m. and arrive to Central Park around 7:30 p.m. to mingle with children. The community will be treated to holiday performances, including a performance by the Eisenhower and Jefferson Elementary School combined choir at 7:30 p.m. on the Glover Pavilion stage. Children can become part of the light display with free glow necklaces, while supplies last.
Following the Light Up The Night event, the Central Park holiday light display will be lit nightly from 4 p.m. to midnight through Dec. 31. The free display is a community spectacle featuring more than 200,000 lights, plus additional LED displays, a nativity manger scene, Santa’s reindeer and more. New displays this year include two LED drive-thru arches and an action Santa going down the Center Lake Pavilion chimney.
Festive music will fill the park during light display hours. The Central Park holiday light display is sponsored by Gold Level Sponsor Maple Leaf Farms and Silver Level Sponsor IU Health Goshen Hospital.
Cookies, popcorn and hot cocoa will be sold at the light display for $1 with all proceeds benefiting future light displays.
