CCS Hosts Annual Turkey Lurkey 5K
Combined Community Services, a non-profit organization that provides many programs and services focused on assisting low-income residents of Kosciusko County work toward self-sufficiency, announces its upcoming 12th annual Turkey Lurkey 5K run and walk. The event will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.
Located by the shores of Winona Lake, the 11th Annual Turkey Lurkey 5K Race is a challenging course which starts at Winona Lake Park, runs down the quaint streets of Winona Lake, meanders through the scenic wooded pathways and then finishes back at Winona Lake Park.
The race will be divided into the following age groups for both male and female runners: Under 10, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64 and 65 and older.
Pre-registration is now underway at www.TurkeyLurkey5K.com and is $20 for participants; students are just $15. The day of the event, the cost to participate will be $25 for adults, $20 for students. Only those who pre-register will be guaranteed an event shirt.
The last day to pre-register is Friday, Nov. 15. The race will begin at 9 a.m. on Nov. 23. Registration the day of the event will be from 8 a.m. to 8:41 a.m.
