Cougars Claim Second Hoops Win
HOWE – The Lakeland Christian Academy girls basketball team made it two big wins in a row Saturday night.
The Cougars, who won their opener 42-10 Friday night, defeated Howe 61-4.
LCA led 25-0 after the opening period, 41-0 at halftime and 50-0 after three quarters versus the hosts. Howe had just five players for the contest.
Hannah Delp led the unbeaten Cougars with 15 points.
Maryl Gerst scored eight points and Morgan Holsclaw had seven for coach Ty Propp’s team. Emily McComb and Carissa Urschalitz each added six points for the winners.
Daisy King scored all four points for Howe, now 0-1.
LCA (2-0) hosts Churubusco Tuesday night in Winona Lake.
