Although the Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce initially announced the Holiday Pop Up Shops were planning to open today, the merchants say a meeting was held late Tuesday and opening day has been pushed to Friday.Possession of the former license branch building at 213 S. Lake St., Warsaw, is happening today for the holiday merchants planning to set up shop there. Also, the merchants have set their own hours of operation to be from noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. The shops will be closed Sunday and Monday.
There has also been a change in the vendors that will occupy the space. Those holiday merchants have been finalized and include:
- Denney Farms – selling locally produced maple syrup, honey, jellies and jams.
- Indiana Urban Lumber – using milled wood from locally harvested trees to produce home furnishings.
- Shanghai Tai – offering art jewelry, including fused glass, dichroic glass and precious metal clay.
Some special events are being planned for the holiday shopping season and will be announced at a later date.
