Still Room For Holiday Pop-Up Shops
The old license branch building is hosting the Holiday Pop-Up Shops in Warsaw and, there is still room for more.
The Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce is asking anyone with an interest in selling their wares through the holidays to contact Mike Dilling.
The businesses so far that are included in the program are:
- Shanghai Tai – offering custom art jewelry
- Indiana Urban Lumber – offering home furnishing from locally harvested lumber
- Sharon Cole and Angela Bredeeg – offering jewelry, purses, lotions, American Doll clothing, book covers, etc.
Basing the program on a similar one in South Bend, the city of Warsaw and the Warsaw Community Development Corporation worked together since late September to bring more shopping opportunities downtown for the holidays by utilizing some of the vacant locations. Chamber president and CEO Mark Dobson credited Dilling, owner of the former license branch building at 213 S. Lake St., for allowing use of his building for the program and getting the details finalized.
Beginning Wednesday, the shops will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday with reduced hours on Sunday.
