KBOR Successfully Converts To IRMLS
As of Oct. 14, The Kosciusko Board of REALTORS® is one of the newest members of the Indiana Regional Multiple Listing Service. KBOR is considered a founding member of the IRMLS and since early 2012 has been involved in the evolution of the IRMLS.
The IRMLS was originally launched in the 1st Quarter of 2013 with three area MLS’s; Upstate Alliance of REALTORS® (Fort Wayne), Lafayette Regional Association of REALTORS® and Bloomington Board of REALTORS®. On Oct. 14, not only KBOR converted to the IRMLS, Greater South Bend, North Central Indiana (Kendallville) and the Elkhart County MLS’s also transitioned to the IRMLS.
The reasons KBOR chose to join the IRMLS are many including building a bigger and better MLS and providing REALTORS® and Appraisers with new and improved tools and information they need to support their Buyers and Sellers. In the end, this is a sound survival strategy for navigating the big shifts taking place in organized real estate.
Lori Rockwell, KBOR MLS President and Managing Broker and Owner of Rockwell Realty Team notes, “One of the greatest “perks” for KBOR members and the public is the new IRMLS public website, www.reindiana.com. Currently it includes data for listed properties in the seven MLS systems already on-board.
In the near future, five additional MLS’s will come on-board; RACI (Kokomo); North Central (Plymouth), Southwest (Evansville); Mideastern (Muncie) and White County (Monticello); offering more than 750,000 listings to view.
