Mark Wayne Douglas
Mark Wayne Douglas, 62, of Silver Lake, Ind., passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Mark was born Oct. 31, 1950, in Buckhannon, W.Va., to Robert Kale and Alma Ruby (Manley) Douglas. On Dec. 23, 1968, in Marion, Ohio, Mark and Janet Agnes Hiler were married.
Mark was a truck driver for 39 years and owned and operated his own rig.
He loved to play cards, go fishing and work on cars.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years; a son: David Douglas, Silver Lake; a daughter: Jodi Pruitt, Silver Lake; four grandchildren: Tim Jayne, Paige Pruitt and Courtney Pruit, all of Silver Lake; and Jacinda Wuthrich, Burket, Ind.; two great-grandchildren: Emma and Ayden; and a sister: Jerri (Glen) Miley, Marion, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: David Douglas and Robert Douglas, Jr.
Visitation will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, on what would have been his 63rd birthday. Burial will take place at a later date in Marion.
The family has asked that gifts in Mark’s memory be given to K-21 Health Foundation Cancer Care Fund, PO Box 1810, Warsaw, IN 46581-1810.
