A Halloween tradition occurred at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Milford, Oct. 25, with children donned in a variety of costumes turning out for the annual trick or treat, to the delight of residents.
The costume contest for the event was moved up to approximately 6:45 p.m. Categories included group costumes, scariest and/or monster costumes, plus cutest and/or funniest. Each category had first-, second- and third-place winners.
Delana Avery, Mya Redden, Nicole Beer, Isabella Moreno, Julio Moreno, Michael Graff, Anna Graff, Sativa Graff, Charlie Krull, Emerson Krull, Kodi Carpenter, Ethan Zook, Candice Shepherd, Kaleb Losher, Ella Beer, Beau Ward, Jeane Sherburn, Braxton Medlen and Julia Medlen.
First place winners won $25 while second and third place winners received $15 and $5 respectively.
Brandy Reedy, resident activity director of Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, expressed her gratitude to the community for its support, particularly the Milford Kiwanis and Milford Lions clubs, which provided the cash prizes.
