It’s hard to believe but it’s time for Christmas Bucks once again. The Paper’s annual Christmas Bucks drawing offers everyone a chance to have a special holiday season in 2013.

All area residents have a chance to win a portion of the $2,000 Christmas Bucks prizes. All that needs to be done is to enter the contest between Wednesday, Oct. 30, and noon Saturday, Nov. 23. The event is sponsored by participating area merchants and The Paper.

Those who win Christmas Bucks can redeem them at any business taking part in the contest. It is not necessary to purchase anything or be present to win.

All that is needed to enter is to cut out the forms in next week’s edition of The Paper, fill them in and deposit them in the Christmas Bucks boxes at the stores and businesses listed.

Entry forms will also be printed in the Nov. 6, Nov. 13 and Nov. 20 issues. Entry forms are also at participating merchants establishments.

First prize is $800 in Christmas Bucks. The second-place winner will have $500 to spend; third, fourth and fifth will earn $150 worth of Christmas Bucks. Sixth through 10th places will get $50 in Christmas Bucks a piece. The Bucks must be spent at participating locations.

Drawing of winners will take place in The Papers Inc. corporate headquarters in Milford on Monday, Nov. 25. Each participating business will pull out a winner from that location’s box. Then the entries go into the final drawing. Sales representatives will pull out the winning entries.

Also selected on Nov. 25 will be the merchant winner in the drawing for a flexible Menno Travel vacation voucher for two. Names and photos of the winners will appear in The Paper Wednesday, Dec. 4.
