Poe Powers Warsaw To Tourney Title
WARSAW – The Warsaw volleyball team completed regular season play Saturday by winning its own Tiger Spiker Invitational.
Host Warsaw defeated Tippecanoe Valley 3-0 and Northfield 3-0 to wrap up regular season play.
The Tigers topped the Vikings 25-21, 25-11, 25-19 and beat Northfield 25-22, 25-10, 25-23.
Senior Emily Poe led the champions with a team-high 24 kills in the two victories. Poe also totaled 22 digs for the Tigers.
Katie Voelz had 22 kills on the day. The junior middle also had three aces and two blocks.
Laura Craig slammed down 17 kills and Taylor Jagger had 15. Craig also had 16 digs. Cassie Hoag led the Tigers with seven aces to go with 16 digs.
Peyton Adamiec led the defense with 27 digs.
Warsaw closes out regular season action at 25-7. The Tigers will face Elkhart Memorial next Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in a sectional semifinal match at Warsaw.
