Jimmies Run Past Trojans
BOURBON – Jimtown started fast and never looked back en route to a 56-0 win at Triton Friday night.
The Jimmies tallied 21 first-quarter points in the Northern State Conference and regular season finale.
Casey Adams scored on a pair of touchdown runs in the opening stanza to set the tone.
Jimtown, which closes the regular season at 7-2 overall and 6-1 in the NSC, rushed for 246 yards in the contest. Adams led the way with 10 carries for 87 yards.
Grant Stichter was 7-11 passing for 91 yards to lead the Triton offense. Nate Spangle had two receptions for 61 yards for the Trojans.
Triton lost its’ final eight games of the season on the field. However, due to a forfeit win over NSC foe Glenn, the Trojans are officially 2-7 overall and 1-6 in the NSC.
Triton plays at West Central (6-3) in a Class 1-A sectional game next Friday at 7:30 p.m. Jimtown travels to Tippecanoe Valley (5-4) for a Class 3-A playoff game at 7 p.m.
