WCPL November Adult Programs
The following adult programs will be offered at the Warsaw Community Public Library during the month of November.
Chess Club will meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Every Saturday in November. The group welcomes beginners and experts. Bring your chess game if you have one.
Cookbook Club will meet from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4. The club will be making chocolate candy with Randy Jones. Come learn the history of chocolate and try testing your chocolate I.Q. Handouts and samples of chocolate items will be provided.
Writers Club will meet from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 4. Warsaw native, Heather Glenn wrote “My World Of Conceit”. She will come and talk about her book, her struggles with writing it and will answer questions about writing. This club is for adults and teens who want to write.
Dollar-A-Day Boys will meet from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The meeting will include a music and storytelling program about the Civilian Conservation Corps created by President Franklin Roosevelt. Registration is required.
Computer Clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6. Bring your computer questions and problems. This is a one-on-one program.
Off the Shelf Reading Group will meet from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7. The group will discuss “The Master Butchers Singing Club” by Louise Erdrich.
New Release Tuesday will be showing “Man Of Steel” from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in Meeting Room C. The film is rated PG-13
Stamping With Donna will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12. The group features a different project every month. Cost to attend is $15 if you bring your own glue and $18 if you use the glue provided. That includes sticky tape, dimensional glue, liquid glue and glue dots. This is for materials used in the class. Registration is required.
The Knit & PURL Club will meet from 6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18. The class is for the beginner and the expert. Bring the squares you made for the baby blanket so we can put it together.
Gettysburg: Living In a Civil War Town will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19. Dr. Clyde Root will discuss the overall battle of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln’s speech and personal incidents of living in Gettysburg in 1963.
Hooked On Crochet will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19. Bring your project. Help is available.
Card Making Class will meet from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21. Guests are able to make three different cards every month. Anti Scam Day will be held at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. Consumer Protection from the Attorney General’s office will be discussed. Sponsored by the Daughters of the Revolution. Registration is required.
