Roger E. Guthrie, 60, North Manchester, Ind., passed away at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, in Peabody Healthcare Center.
He was born Jan. 26, 1953, in Wabash, Ind., to Donald E. and Cleo (Spath) Guthrie. Roger served in the US Marines from 1970 to 1977. He was a self employed carpenter and heating and plumbing contractor.
He is survived by his mother; one son: Andrew Beck, Talma, Ind.; two daughters: Abbie Isbell, North Manchester; Lisa (Joe) Rioux, Sylvania, Ohio; one brother: David (Martha) Hippensteel, North Manchester; one sister: Kathy (Terry) Mooney, Vincennes, Ind.; two step-brothers: David (Susan) Hippensteel, North Manchester; and John (Ann) Hippensteel, Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; three stepsisters: Diane (Mike) Bever, Forest, Ind.; Jane (Stuart) Sayler, Lakewood, Ohio; Joan (Mark) Laudeman, Lakeville, Ind.; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; his stepfather: Joseph R. Hippensteel; and two brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 2, in Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 N. Beckley St., North Manchester. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, North Manchester.
