Design Outreach Participates In Water Innovation Exhibit
On Oct. 7, Indiana-based non-profit organization Design Outreach announced their participation in the World Water Innovation Exhibit to be run by Water Environment Federation starting today until tomorrow, Oct. 8.
The exhibition, WEFTEC 2013, will take place at the Innovation Pavilion Theatre of the WEFTEC Exhibit Hall in Chicago, Ill., and will feature the top innovators in the global freshwater production sector.
Design Outreach has been on the frontline of the global water crisis, having designed, manufactured and delivered new deep well water pumps for developing countries. Their innovative system, LIFEPUMP™ water solution, will bring potable water to communities in countries such as the Central African Republic and Malawi. The LIFEPUMP™ is a hand powered water pump that can reach low water tables that up to 500 feet deep and were previously unaccessible with hand pump technology.
The next-generation LIFEPUMP™ model will be presented by Design Outreach in Booth #1277 at the WEFTEC 2013 Exhibition Hall, McCormick Place South, 2301 S. Lake Shore Dr., Chicago, Ill.
“We are glad to take part in WEFTEC 2013,” says Abe Wright, President and Co-Founder of Design Outreach. “We believe that our true value is not in helping just a few villages, but scaling up so that we can eventually provide thousands of villages with clean water. Finishing our pilot program is but the first step, gaining exposure through the exhibit is a crucial next step in accomplishing that goal.”
