Lutheran Air II Makes Maiden Voyage
Lutheran Air II will make its arrival in Wabash County on Monday and the public is invited to attend and witness its maiden voyage.
Lutheran Air II, an EC 135 helicopter, is being stationed at the Wabash County Airport to better serve the Lutheran Health Network’s 23-county service area. The announcement that an additional aircraft and the construction of a new hangar at the airport was announced in August.
A reception will begin just before 2 p.m. Monday at the Wabash County Airport when the helicopter will land.
More than 10 new jobs on Lutheran’s critical care transport team have been added with the addition of Lutheran Air II, which contracts with Air Methods to provide the aircraft, pilots and flight mechanics.
