October First Friday Focuses On Arts
October’s First Friday theme is “Art-tober” and it promises something for everyone. The event, which will begin tonight at 5 p.m. and conclude at 9 p.m., will offer a taste of local art, music and dance.
Event goers will be offered the opportunity to feast their eyes on art exhibits provided by Warsaw Community High School and area children as well as enjoying “stone soup”. Other exhibits will include a Puppy Picasso and Kitty O’Keefe pet art prints.
Center stage will heating up at 5:30 p.m. with a performance by Latino dancers. At 6 p.m. viewers will experience a taste of the Far East as dancers take the stage to perform a Chinese traditional dance. From 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. event goers will be able to enjoy the musical stylings of a Taiko drum circle followed by the 7:30 p.m. Big Wheel Races.
Other events will include a bounce house and hayrides that are available by providing a donation to a local food pantry.
Art-tober is sponsored by PeopleLink Staffing Solutions, the Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation and the City of Warsaw.
