Alcohol Suspected Cause In Milford Accident
Last night at 10:52 p.m., a Milford man was taken by ambulance following a rollover car accident on North Orn Road in Milford.
Anson Davis, 22, of Milford, was traveling northeast on Orn Road in his silver Toyota when he failed to follow a curve in the road. As a result, Davis went off the north side of the road, struck into a small tree and proceeded through a harvested corn field where his vehicle overturned multiple times before coming to a rest about 100 yards into the field.
A witness who resides in a home east of the curve reported seeing Davis approach the curve at a high rate of speed before hearing the crash. The witness then called 911 and went to the scene of the crash to provide officers with further information.
Davis, who reportedly suffered from a head injury, was taken from the scene by ambulance for treatment. Officers at the scene noted that Davis smelled of alcohol. Blood and urine tests were ordered. Results of the tests are currently pending and KCSD Deputy Popenfoose has been assigned to investigate the accident.
Damages are estimated to total up to $25,000.
