Cynthia June ‘Cindy’ Whitaker
Cynthia June “Cindy” Whitaker, age 60, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 5:05 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, in her home.
She was born Oct. 23, 1952, in Warsaw to Norman and Wanda (Babcock) Brown. In 1971, she graduated from Warsaw Community High School. She married Michael Whitaker on June 27, 1987, in Warsaw.
Cynthia was a bus driver for the past 6 years for Warsaw Community Schools. She also attended Dutchtown Brethren Church in Warsaw.
She is survived by her husband: Michael Whitaker, Warsaw; a son: Sean (Mary Alice) Lackey, Chicago, Ill.; two daughters: Melody (Steven) Farmer, Warsaw; and Jennifer Whitaker, Warsaw; two stepsons: Adam (Heather) Whitaker, Syracuse, Ind.; and Jason Whitaker, North Webster, Ind.; seven grandchildren; six step grandchildren; her father: Norman Brown, Warsaw; three brothers: Mike (Cheryl) Brown, Warsaw; Tim (Cindy) Brown, Warsaw; and Pat (Jolinda) Brown, Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Wanda Brown.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Jack Worth, Dutchtown Brethren Church, Warsaw.
