Elmer Rapp
Elmer Rapp, 91, of Milford, Ind., passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, in IU Goshen Hospital.
He was born April 1, 1922, to Andrew and Louise (Stieglitz) Rapp. He married Norma Mason on Feb. 24, 1951, in Milford.
Elmer was a lifetime farmer and was employed as a mechanic for 53 years at Sharp Hardware of Milford. He was a member of New Salem Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by his wife: Norma Mason, Milford; a son: Rick, Milford; a daughter: Cynthia (Doyle) Kolberg, Syracuse, Ind.; two grandchildren: Holly and Heidi Kolberg; a brother: George Rapp, Sacramento, Calif.; and three sisters: Rose Rapp, Mulberry, Ind.; Lucille Smith, Goshen, Ind.; and Esther Houston, Elkhart, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister: Mildred; and two brothers: Harry and Floyd Rapp.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford. Pastor Dean Kagarise will officiate the service at 2 p.m. with burial to follow in the Milford Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Goshen Hospital Foundation in care of Mishler Funeral Home.
