Donald D. Henline
Donald D. Henline, 76, of Huntington, Ind., passed away at 2:08 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home.
Donald was born on Sept. 21, 1937, in Sturgis, Mich., and grew up in Roanoke, son of Harley M. and Luestra (Rice) Henline. On Dec. 14, 1958, he married his beloved wife, Margaret Joe Walters, at their home in Huntington. She preceded him in death on October 18, 2001.
Donald was a business owner and operator of Don Henline Towing. He graduated from Huntington High School in 1955. He was a member of Etna Avenue Wesleyan Church, past vice president of Huntington Jaycees, and former member of Andrews Lions Club and Isaac Walton League. He enjoyed camping and spending time with family and friends. His family was his life.
He is survived by his two children: Judy Elaine (Gary) Snider, Huntington; and Jerry Lynn (Betty) Henline, Warsaw, Ind.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother: Harley “Sonny” Henline, Huntington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents: Harley and Luestra Henline; and his step-mother: Ruth (Ellet) Henline.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at Deal-Rice Funeral Home-Huntington Chapel, and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Etna Avenue Wesleyan Church. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church with Pastor Tom Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory.
