Operation Treat A Solider Underway
Treasures for Troops, a soldier support ministry through the First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, is conducting the 3rd annual Operation Treat a Soldier. Once again, the opportunity is being given to the people of our community to fill a treat bag for a deployed soldier.
Operation Treat a Solider is a small way we can all personally thank a service member currently serving overseas by including a card, letter, or note of thanks along with the treat bag. Last year 384 bags were donated and sent to our troops.
The goal this year is to collect 500 bags. Anyone wishing to participate can pick up a treat bag with the instructions inside at the following businesses: Warsaw Community Public Library, The Outdoor Living Center (formally Red Horse Bait) and The Vein Institute and Medical Spa, all in Warsaw, or Manns Kountry Kitchen in Silver Lake.
Bags must be returned by Friday, Oct. 4. Any church, group or club needing multiple bags to fill can call 260-352-2678.
Don’t miss the chance to let our troops know they are remembered this autumn season.
