Erma (Miller) Schwartz
Erma (Miller) Schwartz, 68, of Nappanee, Ind., died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at her home. She had been diagnosed with cancer on June 6, 2013.
She was born on July 18, 1945, in Kosciusko County, Ind., to Herbert E. and Lydia Mae (Hochstetler) Miller. She married Jerome O. Schwartz on July 4, 1968. Mrs. Schwartz was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She is survived by her husband: Jerome Schwartz, Nappanee; three sons: Marion (Mary Sue) Schwartz, Dennis (Sheryl) Schwartz and Merle (Jolene) Schwartz, all of Nappanee; two daughters: Kristina (Marlin) Borkholder and Rebecca (Glen) Schmucker, both of Nappanee; two brothers: Vernon (Martha) Miller, Etna Green, Ind.; and Delbert (Anna) Miller, Milford, Ind.; six sisters: Velma (David) Kauffman, Nappanee; Inez (Jake) Hochstetler, Middlebury, Ind.; Irene (Levi) Raber, Wolcottville, Ind.; Betty (Orlin) Yoder, Nappanee; Esther (Raymond) Yoder, Goshen, Ind.; and Frieda (Marlin) Miller, New Paris, Ind.; 30 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister: Verba.
Visitation will begin after 3 p.m. Thursday and continue all day Friday at the family home, 25170 CR 52, Nappanee. The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Wilbur Lehman residence. Burial will be in Union Center West Cemetery.
