Bill Robison
Bill Robison, 86, North Manchester, Ind., passed away at 1:46 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Fulton County, Ind., on Jan. 7, 1927, to Arthur F. ‘Doc’ and Valura (McIntyre) Robison. He graduated from Gilead High School and served in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947. On Sept. 25, 1950, he married Betty G. Hileman. She survives.
He had been a self-employed farmer and was a truck driver. He was employed as a mechanic for several years with Kerlin Motor Co. in Silver Lake, Ind., and Snyder Ford in North Manchester. Bill was a member of the Moose Lodge, North Manchester and Congregational Christian Church. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, various types of racing and traveling the western states.
He is survived by two sons: Robert (Jo) Robison and Rick (Kim) Robison, both of North Manchester; three daughters: Carolyn Brown, North Manchester; Diann (Robbie) Applegate, North Manchester; Rita (Don) Kinsey, Warsaw, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Sally Cole, Austin, Texas.
He was preceded by a sister: Esther Harmon; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29, at Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut St., North Manchester. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to McKee Mortuary, 1401 SR 114 W., North Manchester. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate.
