Rain and lightning in the area has put a halt to several athletic matches and practices for Thursday, Sept. 19.

WARSAW

The WCHS Athletic Department has announced that tonight’s home boys’ soccer match versus Fort Wayne South Side has been cancelled.

The girls soccer match for tonight at Columbia City has also been cancelled. No make-up date for the for either contest was announced.

The boys tennis match at home against NorthWood, as of 3:45 p.m., was pushed back to a 5:15 p.m. start time at the Tiger tennis courts.

The freshman football game against Elkhart Memorial will be played at 6 p.m. this evening at Edgewood Middle School.

WAWASEE

Just one game was announced to be affected by the weather. The boys tennis match at Elkhart Memorial was washed out and will be played tomorrow, Friday, with a 4:30 p.m. start time.

TIPPECANOE VALLEY

Athletic Director Duane Burkhart announced this afternoon that wet courts at Valley has postponed the tennis match with North Judson. A make-up date was not immediately announced.

TRITON

Triton Junior and Senior High School announced a bevy of alterations to its Thursday calendar.

Girls golf practice is cancelled. The golf team are preparing for entry in Saturday’s Warsaw Girls Golf Sectional. Practice is also cancelled for varsity cross country and varsity tennis.

The varsity high school and junior high cheerleading photos have been postponed, a rescheduled date is still being negotiated.

The junior high football game will be made up on Oct. 10. Practice tonight is cancelled and a short practice will be held Friday. Team pictures are also postponed, a date to be named later on the reschedule.

The junior high cross country meet is cancelled as is team photos. A reschedule date for both the meet and photos will be named later.
