COLUMBIA CITY – Fernando Camargo had a career night and Wawasee went big at Columbia City in a 6-0 win Wednesday night.
Camargo had a hat trick in the win and Rasmus Rich added two goals and an assist, moving Wawasee to 4-3-3 this season. Camargo’s output at City doubled his goal total for the season to six while Rich leads the club with eight goals. Also adding his first goal of the season was Kyle Weideman.
Collecting assists for the Warriors were Luis Camargo and Derek Stutzman. Wawasee outshot Columbia City 13-4 and took all five of the match’s corner kicks. Korey Knafel recorded his second shutout in a week, making all four stops.
In the JV contest, Wawasee won 6-1. Juan Tienda recorded the hat trick for the Warriors while Alex Doll had a goal and two assists and Carlos Camargo added two assists.
The Warriors will play again Saturday with a 10 a.m. start at East Noble.
