Kosciusko County American Red Cross chapter volunteer Mary Hoffer is deploying for Colorado on Tuesday to assist as a staff wellness nurse for those affected by flooding.
Hoffer is a registered nurse who is volunteering for her third deployment in 14 months.
Four deaths have so far been confirmed on historic flooding in Colorado, but more than 500 people remained unaccounted for in Boulder and Larimer counties as of Sunday night. President Barack Obama declared the area a federal disaster over the weekend.
According to a statement provided by Army spokesman Major Earl Brown U.S. National Guard and U.S. Army troops have rescued 1,750 people cut off by washed-out roads in the mountain canyons.

Of every dollar donated, 94 cents goes directly to helping victims of disaster.
