“Chess Club” Every Saturday in September. For the beginner or expert. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.“Writers Club” Monday, September 9. 6:30-7:45 p.m. For Adults & teens who like to write.
“Tea & Crumpets” Thursday, Sept. 12. 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Meet at “Spice Merchants” at 903 E. Canal St. Winona Lake for tea and crumpets and some spice talk. Space is limited – Register at WCPL.
“Indiana Plants, Indiana Heritage” Saturday, Sept. 14. 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Learn surprising things about the plants you thought you knew. Dani Tippmann teaches about native Miami foodways all across the Midwest. She will tell you about many edible and useable plants. Viki Graber makes baskets using the same methods as her Swiss, German, and Russian settler ancestors.
“New Release Tuesday: World War Z” Tuesday, Sept. 17. 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
“Advanced PICASA” Tuesday, Sept. 17. 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. For those already familiar with the free online photo editing called PICASA – Learn how to make collages, posters and slide shows in this class. Register
“Hooked On Crochet” Tuesdays, Sept. 17 and 24. 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Learn how to make a dishcloth. Beginners ONLY need to register. Experienced crocheters bring a project to work on.
“Card Making Class” Thursday, Sept. 19. 10 a.m. to noon. Make 3 different cards every month. $15 to $18 for materials used in the class. Register.
