ISTEP Scores To Be Released Today
The Indiana Department of Education says schools and parents will receive their spring ISTEP results today. According to Inside INdiana Business, nearly 1,400 scores will be invalidated because of computer problems while the tests were administered earlier this year (see related).
Parents are expected to receive a code for online access to their children’s information. The state says roughly 500,000 students took the test in the spring. Of those tests, approximately 1,100 math and 260 language arts results will be invalidated.
Talks on a possible settlement with McGraw-Hill, the company responsible for administering the ISTEP test, are currently underway.
