Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accidents:
Thursday, Aug. 29, 8:26 p.m. South Packerton Road, Claypool. Driver: Robert J. Brubaker, 29, Lake Shore Drive, Warsaw. Brubaker was on his motorcycle traveling south on Packerton Road when a deer ran into his path. He swerved to miss the animal and drove off of the road and into gravel. Brubaker was ejected from the motorcycle and found by another motorist. He sustained minor head bleeding and an arm injury. Damages: up to $10,000
Thursday, Aug. 29, 9:06 p.m. North 100 East and East 200 North, Warsaw. Drivers: Pamela J. Noble, 57, North Gregg Road, Connersville; and Roja Sanchez, 38, East 200 North, Warsaw. Noble thought she had the right of way at the intersection and pulled into the path of Sanchez. Damages: up to $10,000.
Thursday, Aug. 29, 3:38 p.m. North 325 East, Warsaw. Driver: Christopher Grimmett, 26, Sue Avenue, Warsaw. Grimmett rolled his vehicle and struck a pole, then fled the accident on foot. He ran into a corn field and was apprehended by police. Grimmett was found to be intoxicated. Damages: up to $10,000
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Thursday, Aug. 29, 1:53 p.m. East Fort Wayne Street near North Reed Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Cris A. Stout, 51, Fleetwood Court, Huntington; and Gina L. Garza, 47, East Clark Street, Warsaw. Stout was operating a commercial vehicle off of the city’s designated truck route and snagged NIPSCO and Comcast cable wires. A ceramic stop on the wires struck Garza’s vehicle. Damages: up to $2,500
