Christopher Allen Jr., 33, was sentenced in Superior Court I last week to 8 years in prison. Judge Duane Huffer handed down the sentence, suspending 6 years of the imprisonment, meaning Allen could serve one year in prison with good time credit and be placed on probation for 6 years.
Allen, of Warsaw, was arrested in April after Warsaw Police were called to the Super 8 motel by the young girl’s grandfather. Police say the grandfather walked in on the girl and Allen engaged in a sexual act.
According to Warsaw Police detectives who interviewed the girl, Allen engaged in intercourse with the victim on several occasions at various hotels and other locations in and around Warsaw. Allen also admitted to the girl’s claims.
Allen was initially charged with two counts of class B felony sexual misconduct with a minor. It is illegal in Indiana for any child under the age of 16 to consent to any sexual activity. The charge of child molestation occurs in cases where the child is under the age of 14. As part of his plea agreement, one of the counts was dismissed.
