He was born on Sept. 10, 1968, in Goshen, Ind. to Richard Sr. and Nancy (Plank) Coy. He married Lori Golden on Jan. 8, 1993; she survives.
Rick was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed being outside, where you could find him setting in the shade, camping, working on his farm and raising chickens.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years: Lori Coy, Milford; six children: Mystique Coy, Milford; Brody (fiancée Brittany) Coy, Warsaw; Courtney (fiancée Aaron) Stump, Milford; Tiffany Stump, North Webster, Ind.; Angela (Matthew) Moe, North Webster, Ind.; Christal Stump, Nappanee, Ind.; 10 grandchildren: Dylan, MaKenna, Aiden, Kyleigh, Greyson, Sophia, Landon, Ella, Tieson and Peyton; his parents: Richard Sr. and Nancy Coy, Syracuse; two brothers: Robbie (Melissa) Coy, Syracuse; Russell (Dawn) Coy, Syracuse; and a parental grandmother: Barb Leedy, Pittsburg, Pa.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, at Mishler Funeral Home, Milford. A celebration of Rick’s life will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. James A. McKibbin officiating. Burial will follow in Syracuse Cemetery.
